The Second Coming of Jesus Christ

What does this mean?

When will this happen?

Christians have been talking about this for centuries! Let's take a deeper look into this... "Look! He comes with the clouds of heaven. and everyone will see him -- even those who pierced him. And all the nations of the world will mourn for him. Yes! Amen!" Revelation 1:7

So much in that one verse! We see great anticipation for the event. We see there is significance regarding the clouds. Clouds are some of the most fascinating things to watch. They are even more fascinating to learn about. Looking back to Revelation 1:4-6, we understand that Jesus has a plan, a plan of redemption. "All glory to him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by shedding his blood for us." v. 5b. Notice the use of the present tense and past tense.

Jesus "LOVES" us and has "FREED" us from our sins. "For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God." 1 Peter 1:18-19.

We are FREED from our sin, and Jesus (present tense) LOVES us. Not only that, but he has a purpose for all Believers! We can see it clearly in 1 Peter 2:9, "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light!" Then, we are to PRAISE God for ALL Eternity!
